McMASTER STEP-BY-STEP-TEMBRE
GO FOR THE GOLD! Participate in a STEP-BY-STEP-TEMBRE event for McMaster Children’s Hospital
In recognition of the fact that 400,000+ children and adolescents around the world are diagnosed with cancer each year*, September has been designated as the month for raising awareness of childhood cancer and funds for treatment and research. Supporters often wear a gold ribbon — the colour representing childhood cancers. Unlike other cancer awareness ribbons, which focus on a single type of cancer, the gold ribbon is a symbol for all forms of cancer affecting children and adolescents.
GO FOR THE GOLD! STEP-BY-STEP-TEMBRE is a family-oriented virtual walk from September 1st to 30th. Participants walk, stroll or run and enjoy the last of the nice weather while promoting September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and raising funds to purchase priority medical equipment in support of Oncology.
How to Participate:
Register yourself or your team at any time and start fundraising. Then go for a stroll, walk or run either alone or with family and friends any time between September 1st to 30th.
Register at: McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation
All donations of $20 or more will be issued a tax receipt.
